Far away from everyday life you can explore the beautiful nature of the Swiss Alps by mountain bike or e-bike!
We provide you with seven great and fast e-bikes. Almost without any effort you will pass meadows, rivers and picturesque villages. You will find several charging stations along the way.
Mountain bikers conquer the 47 km long Panorama Trail Braunwald - Grosstal. You can repair minor damage yourself in the self-made bike workshop.
The Adrenalin Backpackers Hotel Braunwald is located directly on the Via Alpina Route 1. The panoramic trail runs from Grotzenbüel over the Chnügrat and through the Seblengrat Gallery in the rock for about 300 meters in altitude.
Once at the top, hikers enjoy the view of the characteristic peaks of the Tödi and the Ortstock. A wonderful view of the high alpine mountain range of the Glarus Alps is also offered by the Nussbüel trail.
Flowering meadows and shady forests form a varied natural landscape. On the way, many cozy places invite you to linger.
Via ferrata with easy, medium and high level of difficulty
Not far from the Gumen mountain inn, the beginner's and children's via ferrata leads into the mountain world. Ideal for beginners is also the Franz Schumacher memorial route to Leiteregg with moderate difficulty (K2).
Experienced adult climbers venture up the K3 route to Leiteregg and its continuation to Vorder- and Mittler-Eggstock. Ambitious climbers conquer the Leiteregg Linthpark route and the Colltex route over the Mittler- and Hinter-Eggstock with the difficulty level K5.
With the paraglider you discover the Glarus mountains from above. In summer you take off from the paragliding launch site Braunwald-Dorf or from the Gumengrat into the adventure. In winter you start from the paragliding launch site Gumen.
After a few steps you take to the air and float down to the valley as lightly as a bird. Beginners get to know paragliding on a tandem flight.
